  • The content of any message you send us

We also collect limited technical/analytics data automatically via cookies when you browse the Site (see our Cookie Policy) — this may include your approximate location, device/browser type, and pages visited, in an anonymised or pseudonymised form.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

  • Contact form data: to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, provide you with a quote or discuss potential work. Legal basis: legitimate interest (responding to enquiries you've initiated) and, where a contract results, performance of a contract.

  • Analytics/cookie data: to understand how visitors use our Site and improve it. Legal basis: your consent, given via our cookie banner.

How we collect it
Directly from you when you submit the Contact form, and automatically via cookies when you browse the Site.

How we use it
We use contact form data solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you engage us for services, to deliver those services and manage the resulting business relationship. We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing.

Who we share it with

  • Squarespace, Inc. — our website hosting provider, which processes form submissions and analytics data on our behalf as a data processor. Squarespace is based in the United States; see their Privacy Policy for details on international safeguards: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy

International transfers
Where data is processed by Squarespace outside the UK/EEA (including in the United States), appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place, as set out in Squarespace's own privacy documentation.

How long we keep it

  • Contact form enquiries: retained for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless a business relationship results, in which case data is retained in line with our contractual and legal (e.g. tax/accounting) obligations, typically 6 years.

  • Analytics data: retained per the cookie durations listed in our Cookie Policy.
